Memorial Day!
After our Sunday bocce game the gang moved to Provison Co. to satisfy our thirst. Too tired to make it upstairs we settled for a drink at the “Sand Bar” on the ground level by the dock.
I can’t remember a larger crowd that time of year. As many regulars as vacationing guests had decided to come out at the same time it seemed. While enjoying our cold beers and a the cool breeze I looked passed my friend down the waterway and was momentarily speechless.
Over his should was the huge mast of “the Black Pearl” … or that’s what came out of my mouth. The large crowd of families and friends were treated to a rare site. Heading back to Wilmington, DE was the replicate of the “Pinta” and one of it’s sister ships, the “Nina” or “Santa Maria.”
I got one shot with my cellphone. Only a blur. It was awsome watching the tall ships pass. What I’d really like to know is, did anyone get a shot of these ships? If so, please seen me a copy so that I can post it on this site. Just click here for my email.
I’d love to hear your comments about this. It was really cool and I’d love for everyone to see it!
